Here at our Brisbane Hypnotherapy clinic, we fully recognise and understand that our clients have different needs and circumstances. And instead of offering a cookie-cutter approach, we believe in tailoring a treatment plan for our patients using various approaches.
Some people may require a psychotherapeutic approach administered by a hypnotherapist. Other patients may benefit from a more direct and powerful approach offered by a hypnotist (Brisbane).
What’s the difference between the two?
Hypnosis can be defined as an altered state of consciousness that allows people to see themselves and their surroundings in a new and different light. This state puts the mind in a new space called hypnotic or trance state.
In this trance state, you can focus and concentrate your attention on what’s going on in both your mind and body while pushing away distractions that undermine your awareness. This focus allows you to tap into and guide your thoughts, feelings and memories toward where you need them to be.
Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is the art and science of utilising that altered state in order to help people deal with the problems they are going through. Today, hypnotherapy is being used to complement traditional techniques used for depression, trauma and anxiety. Studies have proven that it is effective in helping people curb their vices and aiding in weight loss.
Here at the Hypnosis Therapy Clinic, you can witness the synergetic effect of Sally’s training and experience in clinical hypnotherapy and Steven’s training and experience in clinical hypnosis.
Clinical Hypnotist Brisbane
Sally is a diplomate in clinical hypnotherapy and has additional training in Goulding SleepTalk therapy for children and in Neuro Linguistic Programming. She has combined her training with her own success in dealing with her personal issues in aiding her patients.
Steven, on the other hand, is a diplomate in clinical hypnosis. He has also trained extensively in the fields of Chinese medicine and acupuncture. This puts him in a distinct position to help patients in the body-mind areas of healing.
Sally’s training in mind-mapping, speed reading and mnemonics combines synergistically with Steven’s training in education and the application of hypnosis to accelerated learning (in both mathematics and languages). The combination of their knowledge and experience enables them to create and deliver powerful programs to students who may be experiencing learning problems or simply want to acquire accelerated learning skills.
Steven and Sally are both certified members of the Australian Hypnotherapy Association, Australia’s primary organisation for training and certifying professional hypnotherapists.
